About Us

The Rotary Club of Bombay Airport, is one amongst the many prestigious Rotary Clubs in RI Dist. 3141. This 36-years-old club was chartered on 29.06.1988,and has presently 143 members with diverse classification like doctors, engineers, professors, investment bankers, businessmen and entrepreneurs. We take pride in the fact that we have 2 District Governors and  2 AKS members.

Over the past years, we have executed many community projects. Our flagship projects include 3 Schools in the Tribal areas near Mumbai

The Adivasi Ashram Shala at Maswan has been a more traditional school project with 400 residential boys and girls, built by RCBA from scratch.

In the RY 2017-18 we have built state of the art school with modern facticity at Ganjad, which houses 700 residential Adivasi boys and girls having a great learning experience and

In RY 2022-23 to we started renovating Toilets, Classrooms, Community Hall, Hostel of Adivasi School at Ranshet which houses more than 700 Boys & Girls.

All  these schools today have automated kitchen, solar lights and many other necessary facilities.

We have built number of much needed toilet blocks in various backward tribal areas near Mumbai to improve the sanitation conditions of the local people. Our club has also invested heavily into water management and solar energy projects in these areas.

  • Dialysis Centre in Mumbai
  • Padeatric Heart Surgeries (Gift of Life) 
  • School for Special Children in Mumbai
  • Juhu Half Marathon to support Padeatric Heart Surgeries
  • Ashramshalas 
  • Check-Dams & Tree Plantations
  • AED Machine Installations & CPR Trainings 
  • Regular Blood Donation drives
  • Cancer Cure
  • Medical Check-up Camps at Urban Slums 

Our club has recently installed first of its kind COVID Warrior Memorial, being a tribute to the COVID Warriors and volunteers at a major traffic circle at Bandra, Mumbai.

We have been consistently contributing to the Rotary Foundation. During the year 2024-25, our contribution to the Rotary Foundation was ~ USD 2,45,000 among the top 10 in the district 3141.

Our club has chartered 3 Rotary clubs - Rotary Club of Mumbai Parleshwar, Rotary Club of Goregaon West and Rotary Club of Mumbai Coastline, & Rotary Club of MAKABO, thereby enhancing footprint of Rotary in our district.

RCBA has chartered 7 Rotaract Clubs and 13 Interact clubs and is known in the district for its active participation in the youth exchange program.

RCBA has been in the fore-front for Padeatric Heart surgey - Gift of Life project and nearly 150 Padeatric surgeries are done by RCBA using funds collected through GG, CSR/CSR India, Donations from Non Rotarians and DDFs. Juhu Half Marathon whcih is in its 9th year generates surplus which is solely spent for Padeatric EHarth Surgeries. 

Our club is planning many more big community projects and would welcome, foreign Global Grant partners as well as like-minded corporates with CSR funding to help us continue contributing to the society.
